KNIFE PERFORMANCE & PRESERVATION

Your knife deserves more than just a sharp edge.

Professional knife sharpening and preservation for people who care about the performance, condition and longevity of their knives — not just how it cuts today.

THE REFRAME

Sharpening isn't just about making a knife sharp.

Sharpening changes the knife itself. A quality knife should be approached according to its condition, use and care needs  not treated as an identical transaction.

(01)

Performance

How effectively and comfortably the knife cuts in actual use — on the board, in your hand, through the ingredient in front of you.
(02)

Preservation

Caring for the edge and the knife itself with its useful life and long-term condition in mind, not just this week’s task.

(03)

Knife Health

Understanding what a specific knife actually needs before automatically applying the same service everyone else gets.
WHO iSHARP IS FOR

For people who care about their knives.

  • Serious home cooks and culinary enthusiasts who notice the difference a properly maintained edge makes.
  • Owners of quality, premium, sentimental or frequently used kitchen knives.
  • Chefs and culinary professionals whose livelihood depends on knife performance, service after service.

iSharp is built for customers who value appropriate care for their knives not simply the lowest possible sharpening price.

THE FIRST-SERVICE EXPERIENCE

Precision sharpening & preservation.

Five steps, every time — whether it’s a single chef’s knife or a full kitchen set.

(01)

Understand the knife

How effectively and comfortably the knife cuts in actual use — on the board, in your hand, through the ingredient in front of you.
(02)

Assess condition

A close look at the edge, the steel and the geometry before anything touches a stone.

(03)

Appropriate care

Sharpening and preservation matched to that specific knife — not a one-size treatment.

(04)

Share the findings

THE KNIFE HEALTH REPORT

Know what your knife needs — not just that it's sharp.

Every assessed knife gets a clear picture of its actual condition: edge geometry, steel health and wear pattern, so decisions about sharpening and care are based on what’s really there, not guesswork.

Peter did an excellent job of sharpening my knives. One of my knives was chipped and he ground it out perfectly and made it look and function like new. I would whole heartedly recommend his services.

I reached out to Peter as my daughter was going to purchase a new set of knives and the amazing job he did changed that. Peter is very pleasant and professional and I will be bringing my sons knife block to have them sharpened as well

We needed to have 2 chef knives sharpened, and I was looking for something affordable in Brampton. I came across ISharp Knives and contacted them via Yelp. Before long, Peter, the owner, responded, giving me a very reasonable price. We communicated by text for a few days to set up a time convenient for both parties and then drove over. Peter is very affable and certainly knows his stuff. In about an hour, he had both the knives done, the angles perfect, and both sharp enough to glide through the white sheet of printer paper that I had brought for the test. Do contact him; he is very good to work with.
